Overview

How to open your invitation email, create your password and MFA, complete your profile, and find your dashboard for the first time.

Who This Is For

Any new team member invited to a MyApprentice business — Supervisor, Admin, Finance, Tradie, or Apprentice.

If you are a Business Owner or Sole Trader, this article doesn’t apply — you created your account directly.

Before You Start

  • The Business Owner or Admin has sent you an invitation email.
  • Check your spam folder if the email does not appear within a few minutes.

Steps

  1. Open the invitation email from MyApprentice.
  2. Select Accept Invitation. The account setup page opens.
  3. Enter your first name and last name.
  4. Create a password (minimum 8 characters) and confirm it. Select Continue.
    • Your email is automatically verified by accepting the invitation — you do not need a separate email-verification step.
    • Alternatively, you can sign in with Google, Microsoft, or Apple. The provider account must use the same email address your invitation was sent to.
  5. Complete the Secure your account step. Choose one of four MFA methods — iOS app code (Recommended) (scan the QR code with your iPhone camera to install the MyApprentice app and enter the 4-digit code), Passkey (biometrics or device PIN), Authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy), or Phone approval (push to your mobile). Follow the on-screen prompts to register your method — see Set Up MFA on Your Account for full instructions.
  6. Complete the profile prompts — enter any contact details requested.
  7. Select Continue (or Done) to land on your Dashboard.

What Happens Next

You are taken to your role-based Dashboard. What you see depends on your role:

  • Tradie: assigned shifts, assigned jobs (view-only), hours this week, tasks due today, and attention items.
  • Apprentice: assigned shifts (view-only on restricted shift-card actions), assigned jobs, hours this week, tasks due today, and attention items. Cannot create quotes or invoices, share with the client, or finalise jobs.
  • Supervisor: team schedules, submitted timesheets, and operational attention items.
  • Admin and Finance: the back-office views relevant to their role.
  • Business Owner: the full business dashboard.

If you have no shifts assigned yet, your dashboard may be empty — contact your Supervisor or Business Owner to schedule your first shift.
