Overview
How to bring a completed job back into the active workflow when more work is required after sign-off.
Who This Is For
Business Owner, Sole Trader, Admin, and Supervisor.
Before You Start
- The job must already have a status of Completed.
- You only need to reopen a job when additional work is required against the same job record (for example, a return visit, an extra request from the client, or a correction).
Steps
- In the left sidebar, select Jobs.
- Change the job filter to Completed so the completed jobs are visible.
- Find the job you need to reopen.
- Open the job card.
- Select Edit Job.
- Change the job status from Completed to In Progress.
- Select Save.
If the job has already been invoiced: Reopening the job does not change the invoice. The invoice keeps its current status (Sent, Paid, Synced to Xero, etc.). Edit or void the invoice separately — see Edit an Invoice and Cancel or Delete an Invoice.
What Happens Next
The job moves back into your active jobs list. From there you can schedule additional shifts, add notes, update materials, or carry out further work before completing the job again.
