Business Owners and Sole Traders. Admin can also configure Xero. Finance can view and configure Xero-related settings within their scope.
Overview
Link MyApprentice to a Xero organisation so invoices can be pushed to your accountant’s books.
Before you start
MFA must be set up on your account — connecting Xero is MFA-gated. You need an existing Xero organisation and Xero credentials. Decide which Xero organisation to connect if you manage multiple.
Steps
- In the left sidebar under ADMIN, select Business Settings.
- Open the Integrations tab.
- In the Xero section, select Connect to Xero.
- Complete the MFA prompt.
- Sign in to Xero and select the organisation to connect.
- Grant the permissions Xero requests.
- Confirm the Xero connection now shows as Connected on the Integrations tab.
- Review and save any default mapping settings on the Integrations tab.
What happens next
You can now push invoices to Xero individually, or use Send all to Xero to push every authorised invoice in one operation — see Push an invoice to Xero. Sync status appears on each invoice. To disconnect Xero, return to Business Settings → Integrations and select Disconnect Xero.
