Overview
Once your public enquiry form is live, you need to get the link in front of prospective clients. There are three ways to do that: share the direct URL, paste it into a social profile, or embed the form on your website. This article covers all three.
Who This Workflow Is For
This workflow applies to Admin and Business Owner.
Before You Start
The public enquiry form must already be turned on. If it is not, see Set up the public enquiry form. You need the form URL — grab it from Business Settings → Site → Copy URL.
Step-by-Step Process
- Copy the public enquiry form URL from Business Settings → Site using Copy URL.
- Choose where you want the form to appear and follow the matching path below.
Share as a direct link
- Paste the URL into an email signature, a quote-follow-up message, an SMS, or any digital channel where clients reach you.
- Test by clicking the link in a private/incognito browser window to confirm the form loads.
Add to social media
- Open the social media platform (Facebook page, Instagram bio, LinkedIn page, X/Twitter profile, etc.).
- Paste the URL into the Website or Link field on the business profile.
- Save the profile changes.
- Test the link by clicking it on the live profile to confirm the enquiry form loads.
Embed on your website
- For specific website platforms, MyApprentice provides a user guide to embed the form. Use those guides where available.
- An automatic iframe code generator is a Phase 2 feature — it is not yet available. For now, use the direct link or follow the available site-specific embed guides.
- Test the embedded form on the live website to confirm a submission flows through to your Enquiries sidebar.
What Happens Next
Every successful submission arrives in the Enquiries sidebar with status New and surfaces in dashboard attention items for Business Owner, Supervisor, and Finance. From there, follow Review and action an enquiry.
Common Issues
- Link does not open the form. Re-copy the URL from Business Settings — the Copy URL button always produces the correct full address for your deployment. If it still does not load, confirm the public enquiry form toggle is on.
- Social platform stripped the link. Some platforms shorten or rewrite links. Use the direct URL in your bio or use a link-in-bio tool if needed.
- Cannot embed on your website. Use the direct link as a button or call-to-action on the site until a platform-specific embed guide is published or the Phase 2 iframe generator is available.
- Submission not arriving. Check that the form toggle is still on in Business Settings → Site. Submit a test enquiry yourself and confirm it lands in the Enquiries sidebar.
