Overview

The dashboard is the first screen after login and gives you a real-time summary of your business. What you see is tailored to your role: financial and operational summaries for Business Owners and Finance, team scheduling and approvals for Supervisors, and a personalised shift view for Tradies and Apprentices.

Who uses this feature

All roles. The dashboard adapts to your role.

When to use this feature

Use the dashboard as your daily start point. Check it at login and again whenever you want a fast view of what needs your attention.

What you can do with this feature

  • See live business activity in role-appropriate panels.
  • Work through the Needs Your Attention panel for items that require action.
  • Open jobs and shifts directly from the dashboard.
  • Start common tasks via Quick Actions (see Personalising Your Dashboard).
  • Review notifications from the bell icon.
  • Add custom dashboard tiles (Custom Tiles).

How the feature works

Selecting any row in Needs Your Attention opens the underlying record or a relevant pop-up.

Use Quick Actions

Quick Actions are shortcuts that open the relevant page so you can start the task. They do not create records until you submit the form. The actions visible to you depend on your role (see Personalising Your Dashboard).

Review notifications

  1. Select the bell icon (🔔) in the header.
  2. Use the category tabs (All, Schedules, Quotes, Invoices) to filter.
  3. Select a notification to open the underlying record.
  4. A number badge on the bell shows your unread count.

Role-specific notes

  • Business Owner and Finance: see the full attention list across the business.
  • Supervisor: sees attention items scoped to their assigned team. Financial values appear only where role permissions allow.
  • Tradie and Apprentice: see personal shift items and tasks; do not see business-wide attention items.
  • Sole Trader: sees a business-owner style dashboard tailored to a one-person setup.
  • Personalising Your Dashboard (Customisation)
  • Allocating Workers (Dispatch)
  • Creating, Sending, and Tracking Invoices
  • Reviewing and Actioning Enquiries
  • Recording, Submitting, and Approving Timesheets

Important notes

  • Items in Needs Your Attention auto-clear once the underlying issue is resolved.
  • Notifications follow the same scope rules as the dashboard — Business Owners see everything; Supervisors see their assigned scope.
