How the feature works
What appears on each role’s dashboard
| Role | What the dashboard shows |
|---|---|
| Business Owner | Stat cards (jobs in progress, outstanding invoices, revenue), Needs Your Attention, schedule stream, Quick Actions, monthly revenue, live staff status. |
| Finance | Same as Business Owner where finance permissions allow. |
| Supervisor | Schedule stream for the teams you manage, Needs Your Attention scoped to your team, Quick Actions. |
| Tradie | Your upcoming shifts, pending actions (for example unsubmitted timesheets), Quick Actions. |
| Apprentice | Your upcoming shifts and recorded hours. Pending actions tailored to apprentice access. |
| Sole Trader | Business-owner style dashboard with team-management features simplified. |

| Quotes | Ready to invoice | Quote is ready to be invoiced | Create an invoice from the quote |
| Quotes | Client accepted | The quote was accepted but no job has been created | Convert the accepted quote into a job |
| Invoices | Overdue invoice | Invoice past due date and unpaid | Follow up with the client or mark it paid |
| Invoices | Not emailed | Invoice is non-draft and unpaid but has not been sent | Send the invoice |
| Invoices | Not synced to Xero | Invoice is not synced (only with Xero connected) | Push the invoice to Xero |
| Enquiries | New enquiry | New enquiry received | Open and respond |
| Messages | Unread message | Client message in a job thread | Open and respond |
| Timesheets | Unapproved week | Submitted timesheet pending approval | Approve or unapprove |
| Supplier Invoices | Review required | Supplier invoice needs review after AI parsing | Review and correct |
| Jobs | Unscheduled job | Active job with no shifts scheduled | Schedule a shift |
| Jobs | No future work | Active job with no future shifts | Schedule additional shifts |
Selecting any row in Needs Your Attention opens the underlying record or a relevant pop-up.
Use Quick Actions
Quick Actions are shortcuts that open the relevant page so you can start the task. They do not create records until you submit the form. The actions visible to you depend on your role (see Personalising Your Dashboard).
Review notifications
- Select the bell icon (🔔) in the header.
- Use the category tabs (All, Schedules, Quotes, Invoices) to filter.
- Select a notification to open the underlying record.
- A number badge on the bell shows your unread count.
Shift status meanings (Operational schedule and Live staff status)
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Scheduled | Booked, not started |
| In progress | Worker has clocked in and the shift is active |
| Overdue | Scheduled time has passed without the shift being completed |
| Complete | Shift has been completed |
