Who this guide is for
Business Owners and Sole Traders creating a new MyApprentice account. Team members (Supervisor, Admin, Finance, Tradie, Apprentice) do not self-register — they join through an invitation.
Overview
Register a new MyApprentice business account and verify the email address it is registered against.
Before you start
Have your name, work email, intended business name, and the trade or service type ready. MyApprentice will use the characters before the @ in your email address as your suggested username — you can change it to a different username before saving.
Steps
- Open the MyApprentice landing page and select Start free trial.
- Enter your full name and email address, then review or change the suggested username.
- Set a password.
- Enter your business name (this becomes the title of your platform landing page) and your service type.
- Select your estimated number of users and agree to the terms of service.
- Open the inbox for the email address you registered with.
- Open the Verify your email email from MyApprentice and select Verify email.
- You are returned to the sign-up page. Select Continue to set up. MyApprentice opens the Secure your account screen so you can set up MFA before going any further.
If the verification email has not arrived after a few minutes, check your junk folder. If it is still missing, return to the MyApprentice sign-in screen and select Resend verification email, then recheck the inbox.
What happens next
The MFA setup step opens automatically. The iOS app code (Recommended) method is presented first — scan the on-screen QR code with your iPhone to install the MyApprentice app, sign in, and enter the 4-digit code the app shows. Other methods (Passkey, Authenticator app, Phone approval) remain available. See Set Up MFA on Your Account.
After MFA, you’re taken through the seven mandatory + six recommended steps of the first-time setup wizard — see Complete Your First-time Business Setup.
If you want to explore MyApprentice before committing to a live account, the Demo option is on the landing page header — see Demo Mode and Switching to Live.
