Who this guide is for
All roles — returning users signing in to MyApprentice.
Overview
Sign in with your email and password, or reset the password if you have forgotten it.
Before you start
You need a registered MyApprentice account and access to your registered email inbox if you need to reset the password.
Steps
If you registered using Continue with Google, Microsoft, or Apple, sign in by selecting the same Continue with button rather than the email-and-password flow below — see Sign In with Google, Microsoft, or Apple.
- Go to app.myapprentice.dev in your browser.
- Enter your email address and password.
- Select Log in.
- Complete the MFA step if MFA is enabled on your account.
Heads-up — what happens if you skip MFA You can select Skip for now at the MFA prompt and keep using MyApprentice for most day-to-day work. But until you finish setting up MFA, these actions will be locked: Manage Plan, Manage Billing, inviting a team member, uploading a supplier invoice, and connecting Xero or Stripe. You can complete MFA at any time from your profile — see Set Up MFA on Your Account.
Reset a forgotten password
- On the sign-in screen, select Forgot your password.
- Enter your registered email address and submit.
- Open the password-reset email and follow the link to set a new password.
- Sign back in with the new password.
After you sign in with the new password, MyApprentice will ask you to set up MFA again. This is by design — it’s also how you recover MFA if you’ve lost the device your authenticator app was on.
What happens next
You land on the dashboard for your role. Business Owners and Supervisors see a shorter MFA recency window than other roles and may be re-prompted for MFA more often — this is intentional.
Common Issues
- Account locked. Contact your Business Owner or MyApprentice support to unlock.
- Asked for MFA every few days. Business Owners and Supervisors have a shorter MFA recency window — this is intentional for privileged accounts.
- Cannot complete MFA (device lost). Use Forgot your password on the sign-in screen — you’ll be prompted to set up MFA again after the reset. See Recover access after MFA device loss.
- Signed up with Google, Microsoft, or Apple. Use the matching Continue with button — the email-and-password flow won’t sign you in.
