Finance — Help Centre Index

Who can do this?

  • The Books · Finance

This index lists every Help Centre article written for the Finance role, in the order a Finance user typically uses them. Finance is the financial-operations role: accounting, Xero, financial exports, profit/margin, supplier-invoice reconciliation, payments, and reporting.

If you are still deciding what Finance can and cannot do, start with the Finance — Role overview.

Get set up

  1. Set up MFA — Turn on multi-factor authentication; required for sensitive actions.

Run the finance dashboard

  1. Review your Needs Your Attention items — Finance-scoped attention list (target state).

Clients

  1. Create and edit a client — Add new clients or update details. (Finance does not delete clients.)

Quotes

  1. Create and send a quote — Build and send a quote. (Quote portal sharing is included in the send action. Finance does not accept or convert quotes — that handover is for the Business Owner, Admin, or Supervisor.)

Invoicing

  1. Invoice management — The Finance overview of invoicing from end to end.
  2. Create and send an invoice — Deep-dive on creating, editing, and sending an invoice.
  3. Mark an invoice as paid — Record payment received outside an integrated provider.
  4. Push an invoice to Xero — Single push and Send all to Xero.

Xero

  1. Xero-related tasks — The Finance overview of every Xero workflow.

Jobs and quotes — for invoicing context

  1. View jobs and quotes for invoicing context — Read-only access on jobs and schedules so you can reconcile invoicing.

Timesheets and payroll

  1. Timesheet review — Review submitted and approved timesheets. (Finance cannot approve/unapprove — that is the Business Owner, Supervisor, or Admin.)
  2. Export payroll — Export approved timesheets for payroll.

Supplier invoices

  1. Supplier invoice review — Review and reconcile supplier invoices.

Messages

  1. Message a client — Use Messages for quote/job conversations.
